Module Nineteen is all about a very natural, yet very rarely talked about and even more rarely used human attribute; Genius.

In this Module we consider what Genius is, and what it isn’t. We discuss why it is not as widespread and commonly used as it can be, and how we can access it’s constant and bountiful gifts. Everyone can harness Genius, and this Module will tell you how, and why.

“You can be open to using Genius any time you want to, as much as you want to, and in whatever areas you want to. It costs nothing.” – James Blacker

The Etymology (word origin) of the word, points to why Genius is an inherent and ever-available quality that comes straight from our own source.  Genius is not something that you can Egoically dictate to, however, but it is something to be open to.  Harnessing Genius is like opening the window so that the new air can come in.  As long as the window is open, air will pour through without exception.  The more we try and contrive it, however, the less we actualise it.

“Genius is considered rare, simply because Man is not consciously aware that he has the capacity for it.” – Colin Turner

The section on ‘Taking the shackles off of Genius’ explains how we may broaden our notion of the breadth of areas in which Genius can be used, from simply the great composers and theoreticians, to any one person buying their groceries, or planning a day out.

“We are primarily aware of Genius as something which can be applied to the great masters; composers, painters, writers, philosophers, scientists, or maybe even entertainers or sportspeople.

But if I was to tell you that Genius is a faculty which can be used when going to the shops, talking to your mother-in-law, programming the video, using the computer, arranging a party or holiday, participating in physical exercise, writing a business letter, cleaning the house, buying presents, knowing what’s best to eat or drink in a particular moment, or literally any other everyday event, wouldn’t that open up a whole new world of possibilities and opportunities to you?” – James Blacker, taken from Wisdom The Course

There is no downside to Genius.  It is totally free, extremely beneficial, and can bring an extra element of creativity, invention, opportunity and light to any life.

Cultivating Genius is an extension and complementary activity to the developing of your own Sensory Acuity and Inner Compass, as begun in the previous Module, to even deeper and more profound levels.

By the end of your reading this Module, your sense of self and of your own potential for Genius will have been prompted so sufficiently for you to begin to develop and cultivate your own relationship to it.  In fact, you may well be served to start thinking now about the many ways in which you would like Genius to enhance your life – so as to begin to stimulate it and invite it in.
