So far we’ve addressed you as an individual. We now start to also include the areas in which you interact with other people.
Volume II of Kissing Consciousness expands our view further to look at how you are affected by society and the rest of the world, and vice versa. For now, on to relationships, including intimate or romantic relationships, friendships, parenting and family relationships, social activity and even business interactions.
“Relationships are easy; it’s self-judgements that make them difficult.” – James Blacker
The one consistent, simple thread running throughout the Kissing Consciousness philosophy is the removal of self-judgement from that which is already in its natural state. This applies equally to relationships, because our connections with other people also pre-exist perfectly. Self-judgements influence relationships in the following two ways:
- You don’t allow yourself to do what you want to do
- You do what you don’t want to do
If you release your self-judgements so that you no longer do what you don’t want to do, and you do do what you do want to do, you will find your own relationship to relationships to be totally self-fulfilling.
